Once again, Isandla Institute has produced a breathtaking debate amongst two heavy weights within the South African education sector. The Development Dialogue was facilitated by Zohra Dawood, Executive Director of Open Society Foundation for South Africa (OSF-SA) with Max Price and Graeme Bloch on either side.
The dialogue focused on whether higher education produced the knowledge, skills, competencies and people needed for South Africa’s development. The event was held at the Centre for the Book on June 18th and was attended by academics, policy makers, students from some of South Africa’s finest universities interested members of the public. The dialogues are held bi-monthly and are open to members of the public.
